Rasanya ramai yang belum mengenali siapa saya kerana saya mula aktif dalam dunia blog ini secara ‘lebih’ serius bermula Julai yang lepas. Namun demikian, dalam dunia perniagaan internet, saya bukanlah baru. Cuma saya hanya mulakan perniagaan tersebut sendiri tanpa sebarang panduan. Alhamdulillah, perniagaan saya itu berjalan lancar dan masih dapat beroperasi sehingga sekarang. Tapi, setelah membaca panduan tentang internet marketing (dari sumber tempatan atau luar negara) ada beberapa kesilapan yang saya lakukan yang perlu saya perbaiki. Saya bukan nak membicarakan tentang kesilapan saya tu sekarang kerana ada topik lain yang saya nak kongsi di dalam penulisan kali ni.

Saya ingin maklumkan terlebih dulu bahawa blog saya lebih sesuai untuk newbie dalam internet marketing, maksudnya bagi mereka yang baru nak berjinak-jinak dengan dunia perniagaan internet, kerana saya juga adalah newbie. Jika anda seorang yang sudah mahir atau sudah layak bergelar sifu, saya harap anda dapat berkongsi pandangan dan nasihat di sini… saling berkongsi ilmu secara ihklas, dan bukan hanya bertujuan untuk mempromote web atau produk semata-mata.

Oh ya, saya nak beritahu kepada anda yang baru mula mengenali tentang Google Adsense, jangan bermimpi nak menjana pendapatan melalui pengiklanan itu jika blog atau web anda pengisiannya hanya dalam bahasa melayu. Anda hanya membuang masa saja dan hanya sekadar memenuhkan ruang blog/web anda saja. Lebih baik anda menyertai program affiliate dan mengisi ruang-ruang itu dengan banner affiliate yang anda sertai.

Saya bukan seorang yang pakar tapi sekadar berkongsi pengalaman. Saya menyebut tentang perkara ini kerana saya pernah mengalaminya dan sepanjang saya menziarah di kebanyakkan blog baru, saya menemui blog-blog yang meletakkan iklan Google Adsense ini yang hanya memaparkan ‘Iklan Layanan Masyarakat Oleh Google’. Dan blog mereka dalam bahasa melayu. Anda memang berpeluang menjana pendapatan lumayan dari Google Adsense jika anda mengisi blog anda dalam bahasa inggeris atau mana-mana bahasa yang diterima oleh Google (anda boleh rujuk di laman web Google Adsense). Jika tidak, terus terang saya nak katakan yang anda hanya membuang masa dan ruang sahaja. Jangan hanya seronok membaca kehebatan Google Adsense yang diceritakan oleh ramai orang sedangkan kita tidak memenuhi syarat-syarat yang diberikan.

Since affiliate programs are very easy to join, you might be tempted to join multiples of affiliate programs to try and maximize the earnings you will be getting. Besides you may think that there is nothing wrong and nothing to lose by being part of many affiliate programs.

True, that is a great way to have multiple sources of income. However, joining multiple programs and attempting to promote them all at the same time will prevent you from concentrating on each one of them.

The result? The maximum potential of your affiliate program is not realized and the income generated will not exactly be as huge as you were thinking initially it would. The best way to get excellent result is by joining just one program that pays a 40% commission at least. Then give it your best effort by promoting your products enthusiastically. As soon as you see that it is already making a reasonable profit, then maybe you can now join another affiliate program.

The technique is to do it slowly but surely. There is really no need to rush into things, especially with affiliate marketing. With the way things are going, the future is looking real bright and it seems affiliate marketing will be staying for a long time too.

Mistake number 3: Not buying the product or using the service

As an affiliate, you main purpose is to effectively and convincingly promote a product or service and to find customers. For you to achieve this purpose, you must be able to relay to the customers that certain product and service. It is therefore difficult for you to do this when you yourself have not tried these things out. Thus, you will fail to promote and recommend them convincingly. You will also fail to create a desire in your customers to avail any of what you are offering.

Try the product or service personally first before you sign up as an affiliate to see if it is really delivering what it promises. If you have done so, then you are one of the credible and living testaments aware of its advantages and disadvantages. Your customers will then feel the sincerity and truthfulness in you and this will trigger them to try them out for themselves.

Many affiliate marketers makes these mistakes and are paying dearly for their actions. To not fall into the same situation they have been in, try to do everything to avoid making the same mistakes.

Time is the key. Take the time to analyze your marketing strategy and check if you are in the right track. If done properly, you will be able to maximize your affiliate marketing program and earn higher profits.

Keyword Density

Keyword density is an indicator of the number of times the selected keyword appears in the web page. But mind you, keywords shouldn’t be over used, but should be just sufficient enough to appear at important places.

If you repeat your keywords with every other word on every line, then your site will probably be rejected as an artificial site or spam site.

Keyword density is always expressed as a percentage of the total word content on a given web page.

Suppose you have 100 words on your webpage (not including HMTL code used for writing the web page), and you use a certain keyword for five times in the content. The keyword density on that page is got by simply dividing the total number of keywords, by the total number of words that appear on your web page. So here it is 5 divided by 100 = .05. Because keyword density is a percentage of the total word count on the page, multiply the above by 100, that is 0.05 x 100 = 5%

The accepted standard for a keyword density is between 3% and 5%, to get recognized by the search engines and you should never exceed it.

Remember, that this rule applies to every page on your site. It also applies to not just to one keyword but also a set of keywords that relates to a different product or service. The keyword density should always be between 3% and 5%.

Simple steps to check the density:

• Copy and paste the content from an individual web page into a word-processing software program like Word or Word Perfect.
• Go to the ‘Edit’ menu and click ‘Select All’. Now go to the ‘Tools’ menu and select ‘Word Count’. Write down the total number of words in the page.
• Now select the ‘Find’ function on the ‘Edit’ menu. Go to the ‘Replace’ tab and type in the keyword you want to find. ‘Replace’ that word with the same word, so you don’t change the text.
• When you complete the replace function, the system will provide a count of the words you replaced. That gives the number of times you have used the keyword in that page.
• Using the total word count for the page and the total number of keywords you can now calculate the keyword density.

1. Master Your Attention - Woody Allen once observed that half of success seems to be showing up. That may be the case, but in our opinion it’s the less significant half. More important is showing up with your full attention focused on the right things.

It’s particularly important at this time of year, when your attention is easily fragmented.

For example, you may schedule extra time with your family, yet spend much of that time thinking about the work piled up on your desk. Then when you’re at work, you regret not having more quality time at home. What happens is, you not only become less productive wherever you are; but you become less satisfied as well.

It’s not enough to simply follow a schedule when it comes to your activities, you must also focus your attention on the activity you have scheduled.

2. Focus on Value - You don’t need to log long hours to get ahead. In today’s business environment it’s not the number of hours you spend at work but your productivity that matters most.

If your results aren’t good, do you think your boss will ask, “How many hours did you work last week?” Or will your boss ask, “How come your results weren’t up to par?”

When you focus on value you’ll not only earn more and get promoted faster, you’ll get more time off. You’ll be able to leave work earlier and have more time to spend with friends and family.

Not only that, but the quality of your time off will be better.

Imagine the sense of accomplishment you’ll have, knowing that your most important work is done. You’ll be able to enjoy everything else more, without the stress of unfinished tasks hanging over your head.

The way to do this, of course, is to prioritize. In order to get the important things done, you have to let some of the little things go. This is the essence of Pareto’s principle - the 80-20 rule. Only 20% of your activities will account for 80% of the value of your work. Focus on this 20% and forget about the rest.

3. Set Deadlines - You’ve probably heard the saying “If you need something done, give it to a busy person.” It would be better to say, “If you need something done rapidly, give it to a busy person.”

Why?

Because of Parkinson’s Law, which states that “work expands to fill the time available for its completion.” In other words, if you give yourself 8 hours to do a 2 hour project, it will likely take you 8 hours to get the work done.

And while you would think that giving yourself plenty of time to accomplish a task would improve the quality of your work, that’s most often not the case.

Instead it tends to reduce your productivity by making you less efficient. That’s because you have no motivation to work quickly.

To maximize your productivity, set deadlines for your most important tasks. Just be sure that you allow enough time for quality work.

Motivational Tip on the Path to Your Dreams: Give Yourself the Loving Encouragement You Need!

Self-criticism is a common pattern faced by those on the path of manifesting their dream. I’t shouldn’t be so surprising as we grow up going to school and having our performance judged and measured all along the way.

The thing is nobody is ever perfect in all ways. We’re not meant to be perfect. We’re just meant to be ourselves.

Self-criticism can take the wind from beneath your wings and cause you to doubt yourself, your actions and your worth. It can slow or even stop any true progress and movement toward your most heart-felt dreams.

By beginning to see this pattern of looking down on yourself, you are allowing yourself a new choice. A choice to give yourself a positive, encouraging message rather than a discouraging negative one. This allows you to create a much more joyful reality and helps you to move forward in the direction of your dreams with greater speed and confidence.

Imagine what true progress you can make toward your dreams if you have a mean little criticizer on your shoulder, watching and judging your every move. How motivated do you feel when you are put down?

Maybe not at all. So why do this to yourself?

Now let imagine the progress you would make if you had a loving encouraging person beside you celebrating every little success you have, every little good thing you do, celebrating when you feel good and inspired, celebrating you for just being you!

Imagine the motivation and confidence you would feel with this kind of encouragement! Imagine how much easier the journey to your dreams would be.

You may think that if you judge your progress that you will be more perfect. The truth is, you will just be more held back, restrained, and your true passion will never come out.

Allow yourself to let go of the idea of perfection, and replace it with authenticity. Allow yourself to be you as you are. Do your best, but do not require perfection. Instead, give love and encouragement instead of judgement and criticism.

Why not begin today to set this voice of judgement aside?

Instead, choose to see yourself with eyes of love. Be that loving voice of encouragement and acknowledge only the good things you do. That criticizing part of us can come out all too often, better to begin to develop your own loving voice of support that can cancel out that critical part of you. A voice that helps you to move forward perhaps imperfectly, but at least it will be a move toward your dreams.

Take action!

Begin now by keeping a journal or paper nearby to write down all of the good things you are doing, the good things about yourself as you go about your day. Perhaps you can note your successes, however small and seemingly insignificant they might seem. Give yourself the gift of acknowledgement and appreciation of the good that you do.

Celebrate the small steps you take and you will only want to take more. And when you see yourself with love, you not only feel better, you have such a deep spiritual power rise up in you, a feeling that you can do anything.

So begin today to be more loving to yourself and you will enjoy a much more loving, joyful, abundant reality. Be more loving to yourself and you will find the motivation you need to do what it takes to create your most heart-felt dreams.
